This team are responsible for identifying and removing non-target materials from a running conveyor belt. Attention to detail is a must as it is your responsibility to keep a watchful eye on the conveyor, scan for non target material, remove it and separate the material into additional recycling streams. This is a very important role as it impacts on the machine productivity and quality of the final recycled product.
This role plays an important role in achieving our mission of bringing waste full circle. Removing non-target waste improves the output of the machine and the quality of the recycled plastic pellet meaning it can be used by manufacturers to make new products using recycled material.
Picking products, even when using machinery to help, can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a good range of mobility and a moderate level of fitness is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations, without placing undue strain on your body.
