The Washline Operatives are a team of organised individuals who thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere. The team are responsible for operating machinery including Shredders, Conveyors and Driers. This team ensure there is a consistent flow of material through the wash line and observe the material status throughout the process. They closely monitor quality and communicate any changes to the other departments to maintain the quality of the product.
This is a very important role as the precision of the work carried out impacts on the machine productivity and quality of the final recycled product.
Operating machinery can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a moderate level of fitness and mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations, without placing undue strain on your body.
