PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Rotating Shift two week day/night rotation. 12hour shifts averaging 42 hours per week, Monday to Sunday
Summary:

The production shift supervisor is an organised individual who is people and results driven. They are responsible for both operating machinery including Shredders, Conveyors and Extruders to produce a high quality recycled plastic pellet and for the performance of their team to produce daily and weekly shift targets.

They are great communicators and motivators, relaying the shifts production plan to their team so it is understood and executed. They identify training needs and design training plans to ensure their shift has the required skill level and manages the individual performance of their team members.

They are responsible operating machinery including shredders, conveyors and extruders to produce a high quality recycled plastic pellet and coordinating their shift to operate effectively. Attention to detail is a must as it is your responsibility to monitor the machine output and be responsive to rectify any machine issues to ensure that the machine produces a consistent high quality recycled pellet.

Operating machinery can involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a moderate level of fitness and mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations, without placing undue strain on your body.

Skills Required:
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely Qualification, desirable
  • Experience in managing people and planning work
  • Experience in people process such as performance reviews, inductions, delivering training and managing attendance
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Excel desirable
